Reconciliation Application Audit

Flagship financial audit of the reconciliation management applications your team uses to prove bank, subledger, and intercompany balances.

FormatOn-site and remote fieldwork
DurationTypically 3–6 weeks
LocationChiang Mai office or client premises in Thailand
FeesQuote based on entity count and balance groups

Who it is for

Controllers, reconciliation leads, and board audit committees that need an independent reading of how reconciliation management applications behave under close pressure. Common triggers include a new general ledger, a shared-service move, or repeated late bank ties.

Result you receive

A written audit report that states which reconciliation applications held under testing, where evidence gaps appear, and which exceptions lack clear ownership. Findings are phrased for finance leadership and, when requested, for your external auditor.

Scope included

  • Mapping of material reconciliation applications (bank, AR/AP subledgers, inventory, payroll clearing, intercompany)
  • Sample selection across high-risk and high-value balance groups
  • Testing of matching rules, cut-off evidence, and sign-off paths
  • Review of aging exceptions and escalation practice
  • Closing meeting with prioritized remediation notes

Scope excluded

  • Full statutory financial statement audit
  • Software vendor selection or implementation project management
  • Ongoing bookkeeping or preparation of reconciliations on your behalf

Provider and delivery

Senior auditors from Mind Index Path lead fieldwork from our Chiang Mai office at Level 10, 58 Chang Klan Road, Chiang Mai 50100, with travel to client sites across Thailand when evidence packs cannot be shared remotely.

Process

  1. Scoping call to confirm entities, systems of record, and close dates
  2. Request list for policy extracts, sample reconciliations, and exception logs
  3. Fieldwork weeks with interviews and evidence testing
  4. Draft findings for factual accuracy
  5. Final report and remediation discussion

Preparation

Nominate a reconciliation owner for each material balance group. Provide read-only extracts or secure screen-share access for the applications under review. Freeze sample periods before fieldwork begins.

Constraints

We need at least one closed month of reconciliations available for sampling. Multi-entity groups should disclose intercompany elimination worksheets early; late disclosure lengthens fieldwork.

Fees

Quoted after scoping. Most mid-size engagements fall in a fixed-fee range once entity count and balance groups are known. See Rates for starting guidance.
